Pouring involves mixing acrylic paint with pouring medium to create fluid consistency, then manipulating the paint on canvas through various techniques.

Pouring Medium

  • Floetrol (popular, affordable)
  • Liquitex Pouring Medium

Other Supplies

  • Canvas or wood panels
  • Plastic cups for mixing
  • Stir sticks
  • Silicone oil (for cells)
  • Torch or heat gun
  • Drop cloth or plastic sheeting

Dirty Pour

  1. Layer colours in one cup
  2. Pour directly onto canvas
  3. Tilt to spread
